The heavy-duty wire cage of this Expeditions Fortress bird feeder from Opus provides sturdy support for birds and stands up to gnawing squirrels. This model features a screw-on metal cap and a durable acrylic seed chamber inset from the wire frame. The wide-mouth chamber, built for easy refilling, features a total of eight feeding stations, but must be more than half full to supply the upper four. A dimple on the underside directs seed toward the bottom feeding stations, and a drain cuts down on moisture retention. Rinsing the feeder is easy, while more thorough cleaning just requires the loosening of two screws. With a built-in loop for hanging, the feeder holds up to three pounds of mixed seed.
