Quick and uniform in its heat distribution, Cuisinarts Multiclad stainless-steel line uses a triple-ply construction throughout the entire cookware base and body. An aluminum core sandwiched between layers of 18/10 stainless steel creates an exceptionally durable pan that conducts heat evenly all the way up the sides. Highly polished, the interior stainless-steel layer resists sticking, corrosion, and staining. The pans exterior has an attractive brushed finish, accented with a gleaming band just below the rim. All pieces are safe for the dishwasher and the oven to 500 degrees F. This 3-in-1 set includes an 8-quart stockpot with lid, a full-sized pasta insert, and a separate steamer basket. The insert and steamer self-drain when lifted, and the steamer has collapsible basket-style handles. The riveted stainless-steel handles on the pot, pasta insert, and lid stay cool on the stovetop and have a wide, comfortable shape. The sets lid has a tight-fitting, flat rim that seals in heat and steam for efficient cooking. Cuisinart finishes the stockpot with an attractive brushed exterior and a polished band just below the rim. All other pieces have a mirror finish.
