With a durable triple-coated Silverstone nonstick interior and an exterior handsome enough for the table, this 11-inch sauté pan brings ease to the kitchen and beauty to the dining room. While the nonstick coating is a relatively new development, the pan otherwise maintains the long tradition of Le Creusets famed cast-iron cookware. Like all such products, it is hand cast in a one-of-a-kind sand mold and hand finished at the Le Creuset factory in France and wears two coats of Le Creusets bright enamel. Cast iron is unexcelled for heat distribution and retention so this pan cooks foods evenly and gently at low temperatures without hot spots. The rounded interior makes it easier to turn food. This pans plastic handle has a hanging loop on its end and is ovenproof to 450 degrees F; a helper handle on the pans other side aids lifting.
