With their slim, thin, 4-3/4-inch blades, the four knŽives in this set slice steaks, chops, and roasts into precise bites. The moderately priced knives are among Henckels International cutlery lines that are made in countries outside Henckels home of Germany. The knives have full-tang, three-rivet wood handles and blades that are stamped, not forged, from high-carbon stainless steel. Blades are serrated on their upper halves. Serrations tend to tear meat fibers rather than slice cleanly through them. To preserve their wood handles, the knives should be hand washed.
