A great bedside companion for surfers, skiers, and weather buffs in general, this jumbo ExactSet clock from Oregon Scientific keeps you on time and one step ahead of the weather. Using signals from the U.S. Atomic Clock, the ExactSet updates itself six times daily and adjusts automatically for daylight savings. The large LCD screen features the time in 2-inch digits, as well as the date and day, time zone, and radio-frequency strength. Oregon Scientific also includes a crescendo alarm with an eight-minute snooze and a low-battery indicator for the primary and remote units. As for weather info, the screen shows indoor temperature, outdoor temperature, atmospheric pressure trends, and local weather forecasts. Both units are designed for the desktop or the wall and function up to 100 feet apart. The main unit uses four AAA batteries; the remote uses two.
