No more squinting at a column of mercury to learn whether its a jacket day or a shorts day. This handsome remote thermometer displays indoor and outdoor temperatures in large, easy-to-read digital numbers. Simply place the remote sensor outside and keep the main receiver unit on a desk or wall. Or, place the sensor in the babys room or wine cellar, where every degree counts. Three channels let the main unit support up to three sensors, so temperature can be monitored in various rooms and/or outdoor locations. A transmission range of 90 feet is possible between the sensor and main unit, and the sensor itself features an LCD display to show current readings. A memory function retains maximum and minimum temperatures. The four-line display on the main unit shows temperatures to a tenth of a degree, in either Fahrenheit or Celsius, as well as current time, alarm set time, and time zone map. Radio signals from the U.S. atomic clock keep the clock automatically synchronized. The main indoor unit measures 5-3/8 by 4-1/4 by 1 inch; batteries are included for both units.
