Everyone from school children to meteorologists will appreciate this exceptionally high-quality wireless remote weather station. The stylish main display unit, which can sit on a desk or mount on a wall, receives data from two included sensors: a thermo-hygrometer for outdoor installation, and a baro-thermo-hygrometer for indoor readings. The main unit supports up to seven Oregon Scientific components, such as a remote rain gauge and anemometer (wind gauge), which can be purchased separately. Simultaneous readouts of all the weather-station functions are clearly arrayed on the main unit: barometric pressure, indoor and outdoor relative humidity, indoor and outdoor temperature, and current time and weather alarms. With extra components, the station measures rainfall amount and rate of fall, wind speed, wind direction, and wind chill temperature. Graphics of clouds, sun, and rain portray the days forecast, and a digital compass displays the wind readings. All compatible components for the weather station can be placed up to 300 feet from the main display unit and they will transmit at 433 MHz. The main unit measures 7-3/4 by 3-1/4 by 1-1/2 inches, and features a rotating antenna, simple touch-screen operation, and push-button automatic-opening control panel on the front. The weather station is programmable to display readings in Celsius or Fahrenheit, inches or millimeters, and five different languages; batteries and a 12-volt adapter are included.
