Make your gas fireplace even more convenient with this Ducane handheld remote transmitter and receiver. The unit is designed to convert a Ducane Elite Series manual-lighting log set to remote-control use with an operating range up to 20 feet. You can also turn the fireplace on with a power switch on the receiver or set the whole device to "off" if you plan to be away from home. The 5-1/2-inch remote features on and off buttons and an indicator light that illuminates during transmission. The receiver operates on four AA batteries, while the transmitter uses a 12-volt battery. Ducane recommends a plastic switch box and 18-gauge stranded wire for the receiver installation.
