This full-size, 1200-watt iron includes many features for precise work. Its sleek, strawberry red, durable plastic body is transparent for monitoring the water level in the 5-ounce tank. The nonstick soleplate glides smoothly over fabrics, provides easy starch cleanup, and is ideal for sewing, quilting, and craft work using fusibles and bondable interfacing. It has a variable-steam switch as well as a temperature-control dial for making fine adjustments, and the dial provides a dry-iron setting for nylon and silk. For dealing with stubborn wrinkles and creating sharp creases, a control on top offers both a misting spray and a steam burst; select either by turning the button-knob and then push the button. For safety, the iron automatically shuts off after one hour. A reset button turns on the iron again for another hour.
