It is also equipped with waist friction buckles, leg and shoulder straps with pass-through buckles and a large, forged D-ring on back, which provides the secure anchorage for the lanyard. The rope grab (Gibbs Ascender) has a stainless steel shell giving you extra strength and longer wear. There is also a spring-loaded cam that can be placed on the safety line at any point along the length. The safety line is 5/8-inch by 50 feet, a blended combination of polyester/polypropylene rope with a double-lock snap hook on one end with a back splice on the other.
