Ideal for family cooking and for entertaining, this big, beautiful, 16-inch electric skillet is made of 18/10 stainless steel so it retains its mirror-finish luster even after repeated trips through the dishwasher, where its safe after the temperature control has been removed. The control adjusts to temperatures ranging from 200 degrees F (for serving, say, pasta in four-cheese sauce at the table) to 400 degrees F (for browning and pan-roasting, say, veal chops). The skillets lid is tempered glass, allowing easy monitoring of cooking progress. Two big handles facilitate carrying from the kitchen to the table, where the skillet makes a handsome serving piece.
