Operating like a waffle iron, this appliance bakes two of the thin, round, 5-inch waffle cookies Italians call pizzelles. Four recipes and three variations are included with the unit. The cookies display a floral design on each side imprinted by the nonstick cooking grids. Powered by a 1,000-watt heating element and solidly constructed of cast aluminum for even heat distribution and retention, the pizzelle maker has a polished lid and stay-cool handle. A ready light signals when the grids are hot enough for baking. A clip locks the handle during baking; it also allows the user to store the appliance on end. A cord wrap prevents clutter.
