Bought a Remington and was not really happy with it, but it was acceptable. When that razor crashed and burned, big time, I got smart and researched electric razors eventually settling on the Braun 7680. For me the shave is great. While I do seem to make more passes over my face than with the Remington, the shave is closer. A blade will give a closer shave, but I am extremely happy with this system. The shaves are close and last longer than with the blade, the battery lasts significantly longer than did the Remingtons, and the foils last longer than the Remingtons and are less expensive. Of course the cleaning cartridge is an additional cost, but I am certainly happy with its results. It is like getting a new shaver with each use. I dont get "excited" about such mundane items, but for me, this is one good shaver.
